Few Tips on Carpet Cleaning – You must know!!

It is advised to apply active oxygen product on dirty carpets in order to remove dirt and dust. For example, if your carpet has wool, then we need to apply woolen based products that cannot vanish the quality of the carpet and remains it as new as it was in the beginning.  These tips will maintain the normal carpets but when it comes to Persian rugs or carpets, it has some other techniques to clean out.

Use cold water instead of hot water to clean carpets as hot water will set the stain. Sprinkle it with baking soda over the vinegar. Vinegar has strong smell and attracts the animal to reoffend the same.  Baking Soda is applied specifically to absorb the strong smell of vinegar and stain. Leave the entire done procedure incomplete for one day which allows the concoction to do the things. Now if you wish to cover the area with a plate, then go on and cover it which prevents the strain to spread out.

Red wine is one another thing in homes, people love to drink but it makes our carpets dirty if fallen. Keep soda water in your home if you are interested to have red wine. Whenever the mishap occurs, grab the soda water and a towel to the affected area. It is advised to blot strongly and not to rub the area with a towel. As rubbing the towel on the affected area will spread the strain and will not prevent it. But blotting will help you to soak it out. It is also recommended to rotate the towel on regular intervals while blotting. It is done to offer clean area of the towel to blot every time. You will be amazed with observations. In case of candle wax on the carpets, DO NOT RUB it. Rubbing the affected area will just provide you spreading it and not preventing it. Use paper towels to soak wax and use a brown paper bag and iron when the wax is dry. In case iron is not available you can use your hair dryer. The method is applicable for clothes and upholstery too.
